Best Paleo Tortillas: Cassava Flour Tortilla Recipe

8493

Paleo Cassava Flour tortillas that are gluten free, grain free, dairy free and soy free. These are made with water, cassava flour, salt and olive oil. They are super easy and delicious.

Cassava flour is great because it is Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, AND Nut-Free flour. Cassava flour is made from yuca root. Tapioca flour is also made from Cassava (yuca) but it is bleached and the extracted starch. Cassava Flour is a whole food; the entire root, minus the peel.

I have tried 2 brands of cassava flour and they both smell and taste like rancid flour. Is this normal? It's really awful! The Otto's was a little less smelly, but still have that rancid smell.

Omg..What is wrong with my cassava flour!!!???? It behaves like an alien organism rapidly shifting form between liquid and solid form! It's not possible to form a ball, bcs it's rapidly shifting between solid and liquid form! I tried to add more flour to see if it would help but it still behaves the same! Am I the only one with this problem? I have to throw this away bcs the strange behavior of the batch is nothing I want to put in my body. Don't even know how to cook it either since it's shifting form…*sigh* I feel like I'm in a science experiment! 😂
