Low Carb 2.2g Hamburger Bun – KETO & PALEO friendly


******Ketogenics & Cancer video:

Here is the recipe:
3/4 cup Almond Flour or Almond Meal (75g / 2.7oz)
1/4 cup Coconut Flour (30g / 1.05oz)
1/4 cup Flaxseed Meal (37g / 1.3oz)
1/6 cup Psyllium Husk Powder (20g / 0.7oz)
1 tsp Baking Powder (5g / 0.18oz)
1 tsp Onion Powder (2.5g / 0.09oz)
Salt to taste (or 1/2 teaspoon)
3 Egg Whites (do not substitute with liquid egg whites in a carton)
1 Whole Egg
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar (5ml / 0.18oz)
1 Cup Lukewarm Water (235ml / 8oz)

–mix dry ingredients

–mix egg with egg whites

–pour egg mixture into dry ingredients

–quicky mix with hand or mixer no longer than 20 seconds

–shape into 5 round hamburger bun shapes onto a parchment paper covered cookie sheet

–press sesame seeds onto tops of buns (optional)

–back for 45 min at 350F/180C

–let cool then slice in half and enjoy

Macros per whole recipe:
Calories: 693 cal
Fat: 42g
Net Carbs: 11g (55g total carbs – 44g fibre)
Protein: 39g

Macros per hamburger bun (assuming 5 buns):
Calories: 139cal
Fat: 8g
Net Carbs: 2.2g (11g total carbs – 8.8g fibre)
Protein: 7.8g

    Back in 2001 (after having 2 children back to back) I lost 127 lbs in 7 & 1/2 months by doing the a low carb diet & working out 4 to 5 days a week (doing lots of cardio). Yes low carb eating the best way to go in my opinion. Good luck to you!

    Psyllium husk is a laxative. No kidding. It's the main ingredient in fiber laxatives. Look at a bottle of Metamucil. Normally you dissolve a tablespoon in a glass of water. I'm not sure if it would have the same effect if it's used in a recipe like this.

    Hi Jack! Loved to see this.. I've been eating a ketogenic lifestyle for almost 3 years and it has changed my life! I lost 80lbs and feel amazing! There are sooo many success stories out there. But beyond that we as US consumers have been lied too for so many years. Please do more research. I guarantee you won't regret it. Good doctors to search are Stephen Phinney, Jeff Volek and Eric Westman… I hope you do decide to go keto!! God Bless!

    I agree that Keto is magic. I lost 115 pounds in 10 months on it. Went off of it and gained a bit back because I have a carb problem. Now I'm going to try to commit to it as a lifestyle, and I think I can do it because of how easy it is.

    Keto is magic. Been doing it since Feb 1st. Down 52 pounds 278 – 226. It's the easiest diet I've ever done. People saying butter is bad don't know wtf they are talking about. Also Jack there is no sort of eating Keto. You're either Keto or you're not. It's a total metabolic change to your body. Do it dude ude you won't regret it.

    How does your kidney doctor feel about ketogenics. My doctor said no for my kidneys. I do lower carb between 30 – 60 carbs a day and have lost 60 lbs since October!

    you cant remove glucose from your diet, if its too high its bad, but if its too low It is bad too, glucose is your main source of energy and also your brain feeds on glucose
